UCLA Pavilion

The design was first based on origami models and then slowly upscaled into a fully formed pavilion. 

The Pavilion is designed around the way light interacts with the wooden slats in the structure. It provides adequate shade to passersby, opening a new and inviting space to relax on benches, eat at tables, and avoid the heat in sunny Los Angeles. The design style intentionally contrasts with the traditional feel of Perloff to give a new sensibility to the area.

This model is designed and rendered in Rhino and then placed within a pre-existing model of Perloff hall.
